START A PROJECT
From One Child to Another exists to equip students to get involved in the Great Commission, and one way we do that is through projects. We have helped students plan dog walks and 5K races, organize basketball shoot-a-thons, launch a school supply drive, and design and sell greeting cards to have a local and global impact. Use the outline below to start your own project and let us know how we can help!
Start with prayer
Always start in prayer. Ask God for His wisdom and guidance on what He wants you to do. Remember that anything that happens is all going to be in His hands.
Identify your passion
Our passions can be tools that God uses to help others. If you love to run, gather people together for a 5K. If you enjoy art, you can design and sell greeting cards. God can use anything for His glory!

Talk to friends, family, and other volunteers/supporters
Don't forget that many people may want to help! If you need a building, ask if your church would host. If you need signs or t-shirts, ask local businesses to provide discounted products in exchange for being listed as a sponsor. You don't work alone!
Identify a need
Is there a ministry that needs funding for a project such as a school or water well? Are there kids in your community who are lacking school supplies? Look around and see what needs God is putting in front of you.
Create a basic plan outline
Now that you have a need and a passion identified, create a basic plan for how you can bring the two together. For example, if you are designing and selling greeting cards, find a company that will publish your cards and determine a price. If you are organizing a 5K, brainstorm locations and places to host.
Let's Go!
Now that you have a plan and people to help, step out in faith and see how God works! You will be amazed to see how He is always walking beside you!
