From One Child to Another

"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." Hebrews 11:6

Want to make a difference for Christ? Maybe you don't know where to start, or maybe you feel stuck, like you can't make a difference. Hebrews 11 is the Hall of Fame telling stories of how men and women lived by faith. Like these men and women in the bible, there are kids who have in FAITH stepped out of their comfort zone and watched God do immeasurably more than they could ever have imagined. In obedience, these children started a project, hosted a hoop-a-thon or simply asked people to join their mission. Hopefully these examples will encourage and inspire you to step out in faith and believe God to do the impossible! Be bold!

Mitchell Guthrie, a junior in high school, raised the money needed to build the school at Bulubandi in Uganda, Africa. He presented Uganda Tree of Life with a $25,000 check at the National Association of University Model School® Conference.

Cody, a 7th grader, hosted a basketball hoop-a-thon to help raise money to build a church at Kakambo in Uganda. He was able to raise the funds with the hoop-a-thon along with other donors who came forward to support this cause.

Kendall Leininger, age 10, wanted to help her sister Ashlyn with the water well project. She completed a Both Hands project. One hand for the widow, one hand for the orphan. She gathered a team of volunteers and Both Hands coached us to coordinate a service project fixing up a widow’s home. Her team sent out letters and emails to raise sponsorship for the day of service. The funds raised help build the water well in Uganda.
